Holidays Mean Cookies and Pie: Where can I find the best?

I love pie. Specifically I love Pumpkin Pie. It truly is the greatest. Now, I understand that Pumpkin Pie might be a bit seasonal, and doesn't get eaten year round, and that makes sense. That is also a reason why it is one of the best pies out there.

Maybe that is what makes pie great, in general. Every flavor seems to fall in a certain season, but when fall hits and I start to see pumpkins on people doorsteps, I can't help myself but think of a heart slice of pumpkin pie with some Cool Whip on it. It is sooooo good.

I am also a big sugar cookie guy when the holidays come around. Christmas cookies are good for the soul, and should be apart of every balanced diet, right?

Now, I'm more of a homemade pie/cookie kind of guy, but I am always up to taste some great local pies and other treats.

I have a mean sweet tooth, and cookies or a slice of pie can almost cure it in a hurry.
