St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The search for a former Rochester man is over.

The Ramsey Medical Examiner’s Office says a body that was recovered from the Mississippi River in St. Paul on Monday has been positively identified as 52-year-old Jeffrey Asfahl.

The 1982 graduate of John Marshall High School, who had also lived in St. Charles, was reported missing on May 3rd when his wife woke up in their home in Ramsey and found he was gone. Asfahl’s car was located later the same day near the I-35W bridge over the Mississippi River.

The search effort was focused on areas along the river near the University of Minnesota campus.
