Flash Flood Watch Issued for Rochester and Areas South of I-90
Rain is expected on and off through the day on Tuesday and will be heavy at times. Because of that the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for areas along and south of I-90, including Rochester, from Tuesday through Wednesday morning.
Up to 3" of rain is possible by Wednesday with the heaviest rain expected this evening. Weather.gov has more on the watch and reminds people: "If flooding is observed, move to higher ground. Never drive a vehicle across a flooded road - it could be washed out or your car may be carried into flood waters. Exercise extreme caution at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flash flooding."
