Flash Flood Warning For Parts Of Fillmore, Mitchell and Howard Counties
Heavy rains and thunderstorms continue to work through the area, and that has prompted the National Weather Service in LaCrosse to issue a Flash Flood Warning for parts of our listening area.
Southern Fillmore County, near Harmony and Greenleafton, Northeast Mitchell and Northern Howard are all under the Flash Flood Warning until 10 am, at last check from the NWS.
Here is a graphic from their Facebook page showing the entire area that is under the warning for this morning.
It is always a good reminder to stay alert while traveling and making sure you don't travel over flooded roads. The NWS is expecting another possible 1-2 inches of rain to fall before 10 am, when the warning is scheduled to be over. Stay heads up on your way to work today with our full weather forecast.
Also, the Highway 52 project between Preston and Fountain is underway, closing the highway between the two towns. You can check out the detour HERE.
