The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for northwestern Fillmore County and Southeast Olmsted County.

Thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the area, with nearly 3-5 inches of rain already fallen, and an additional 1-2 inches of rain is possible.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Stewartville, Chatfield, Fillmore, Marion, Chester, Predmore, Pleasant Grove, and Washington.

The Flash Flood Warning is in affected until 10:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

For those traveling to work, a section of Southbound Highway 63 in Rochester has been closed due to flooding. A section of I-90 near the Highway 63 interchange just north of Stewartville has been impacted, although the road is still open, be sure to proceed with caution.

The Olmsted County Emergency Management Twitter Account issued a quick warning this morning.

At about 4:40 this morning, the National Weather Service in La Crosse tweeted that nearly 4-7 inches of rain could fall across portions of Dodge, Olmsted and Fillmore Counties. You can check out that tweet below.
