Fatal Traffic Wreck On I-94 Kills One MN Pedestrian In Construction Area
Rogers, MN (KROC AM News) - One man is dead and another is injured after a traffic wreck on I-94 in Rogers forced one truck and trailer to go into a construction work area.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a F-150 and trailer, driven by 30-year-old Oscar Siguencia-Orbe of Minneapolis, was traveling east on I-94 when the F-150 began to slow down for traffic. Also traveling east on I-94, was a Kenworth truck, driven by 47-year-old Tate Doom. The Kenwroth truck rear-ended the F-150 and trailer and sent the F-150 trailer into a construction work area where it struck two station vehicles and two pedestrians, killing one of them.
59-year-old Vernon Hedquist of Pillager died after being struck by the F-150 and trailer and 64-year-old Thomas Wood was injured. Wood was transported to Maple Grove Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
48-year-old Roger Kruth of St. Charles was driving one of the construction trucks, he was not injured. None of the other drivers were injured in the wreck.
