Chief Dienst says they helped with water supply and provided more manpower. Firefighters were on the scene until 10:52 a.m.
The barn is a total loss and all the turkeys in the building lost their lives.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Chief Dienst says "The Faribault Fire Department will work closely with the State Fire Marshal's Office, the owners of the barn and private investigators to determine the cause."
In his news release Chief Dienst added, "Responders were presented with some unique challenges on this fire, their training and professionalism showed as damage was limited to the structure of origin and no one was injured."
