First of all, the crowd was packed. Fillmore Central had already cancelled school for Friday at that point, and Spring Grove did later as well. The early going was all Spring Grove, and it was quickly 7-0. Spring Grove forced a bunch of turnovers, forced some tough shots that did not go down the goal, and held down most of the Falcons in the first half. Then the tides started changing. To end the half, Fillmore Central went on a 10-5 run to send the halftime score to 18-14 Spring Grove with the lead.

The second half was really a different game The first 9 points were scored by Fillmore Central to put them ahead 23-18! Tayah Barnes had 7 points at the half-then scored 15 in the second, including 4 treys! Kenzie Broadwater was active all night and was clutch down the stretch, sinking 6 of 10 free throws to seal the 57-50 Fillmore Central victory.

KFIL Subway Player of the Game for Spring Grove was Mariah Edgington. Mariah was hustling all night, scoring 12 points, but coming up with jump balls and loose balls, steals, and rebounds.

KFIL Subway Player of the Game for Fillmore Central was Tayah Barnes. Five three-pointers in the game, 4 in the second half, and a whole lot of rebounds and fight.

The Kingsley Mercantile Game Ball was awarded to Kenzie Broadwater. Hitting clutch free throws kind of sealed it, but she had some good assists in the first half and played solid defense, while also running the offense through her.
