UPDATE: Deadly Twin Cities Accident Victim Was From Faribault
Ramsey, MN (KROC AM News) - There was a deadly construction-related accident in the Twin Cities metro Wednesday.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says it happened in the city of Ramsey around 8:30 pm. First responders were called to a road construction project site after getting a 911 call about a worker who had been run over by a truck.
The sheriff’s office says “Lifesaving measures were attempted by responders, but unfortunately the male was declared deceased at the scene.”
The preliminary report indicates a construction truck was backing up “to attach to a mill when the decedent was caught in the rear wheel of the semi and run over.”
The sheriff’s office says the victim was employed by a private contractor to repave a road.
He was identified as 50-year-old Robert Vogelsberg of Faribault.
