The Dakota County Sheriff's Office has officially joined the Pink Patches Project for October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They announced this on their Facebook page at the beginning of October.

In their Facebook post, the Dakota County Sheriff's Office says that they are "the first Sheriff's Office in the state to go pink." They also mention that you can purchase your own pink patch. In the letter they post on their Facebook page they list where you can purchase a pink patch. They also say that ALL proceeds from selling these pink patches will go to the American Cancer Society. Patches are $10 plus shipping. Shipping 1-3 patches costs $2.
