On today's date in 1996, "Bigger Than The Beatles" by Joe Diffie reached #1 on the Billboard country singles chart.

"There is No Arizona" by Jamie O'Neal reached #1 on the Billboard charts  in 2001.

Also in 2001, Brad Paisley was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
