The temp at 5:00 this morning in Rochester was 28-below zero. When you factor in the wind the "Real Feel" temp came in at 61-below. This is life-threatening weather that should be taken seriously. The National Weather Service says you to avoid being outdoors during this cold.

If you are going to venture out - call ahead. Many businesses, organizations, and churches have closed or altered their hours today.  Don't make unnecessary trips out. Call ahead to make sure the place you're going is open. If you going to check on friends or family - call ahead.
