The Caledonia Warriors have won 67 straight games and will try and lock down their fifth-straight state title game as they take on the Minneapolis North Polars Friday, November 29th at U.S Bank Stadium. Kick-off is slated for 1 pm.

The Warriors and Polars met in the 2017 state quarterfinals where the Warriors came away with the 38-0 win en route to a state championship. This year, the Polars' will bring another stout rushing attack against a talented Caledonia Warriors defense.

The Polars took down Blue Earth Area in the State Quarterfinals, then topped Paynesville 44-32 in the semifinals to reach the championship game.

The Polars relied on a heavy dose of the run behind Terrance Kamara, who finished with 205 yards rushing and four touchdowns in the win over Paynesville. Kamara did much of the damage, Mario Sanders did finish with 57 yards and a touchdown on two carries, while Zach Yeager finished with 5 carries for 41 yards and a score.

They have ridden the back of the junior running back to a record of 12-0, and are looking for their first state championship since they beat Rushford-Peterson in the Class A title game in 2016. The Polar average 41.5 points per game, and allow just over 10 points per game.

The Warriors will look to bring their high-powered offense, averaging just under 40 points per game, along with their defense that allows just 6.6 points per game to another state title game.

The Warriors and Polars will kick off at 1 pm at U.S Bank Stadium and you will be able to hear the action on 103.1 KFIL when the Warriors go for 68 straight.
