The Caledonia Warriors' offense took over in the second quarter as Caledonia took down Barnesville in the Class AA State Semifinal Friday afternoon at U.S Bank Stadium.

Barnesville came into the contest averaging just over 43 points per game, but the Caledonia defense was able to hold the Trojans to just 12 points in the 43-12 victory.

It was 0-0 after one quarter and seemed to be a defensive struggle as both teams struggled to move the ball, then the quarter turned and the Warriors started to click. Noah King opened the quarter with a screen pass to Eli King for 43 yards, then ended with Noah King running it in for an 8-0 lead.

Adam Tonsfeldt then hit on a 78-yard touchdown run to make it 8-6. The Warriors offense found it's rhythm and wasn't slowing down. King hit Cole Kronebusch for a 54-yard gain, then ended the drive with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Eli King. Noah King then hit Kronebusch in the second quarter for a 22-6 lead at the half.

Caledonia then scored the next three touchdowns in the third quarter as Noah King hit Eli King for another score, then Eli King ran a score in and then Noah King ran one in for a 43-6 lead.

Barnesville added one on late in the fourth, but the Warriors advanced to the State Championship game on Nov. 29th at U.S Bank Stadium. Kick-off it scheduled for 1 p.m. and you will be able to hear the action on 103.1 KFIL.

The Warriors' defense was phenomenal in the win, and the offense really started to click in the second quarter. Caledonia will look to make ti 68 straight wins if they can top Minneapolis North in the championship, and secure their fifth-straight State Title.
