Clutch baskets down the stretch led the way for the Caledonia Warriors as they took down the Brooklyn Center Centaurs 73-67 at the Target Center in the Class AA State Semis.

The Warriors were cold from the field to start but were able to get some easy baskets near the rim from Marten Morem, who was terrific yet again. The Warriors led by as much as six in the first half, but the Centaurs came back and were able to cut the lead to one at the break 33-32.

After some adjustments, the Warriors were able to lock down defensively. Brooklyn Center's Lu'cye Patterson had 16 in the first half but was much more contained in the second half. The Warriors were able to execute and push their lead up late.

Caledonia got some clutch buckets from Noah King and Morem, who finished with 25 and 18. Morem added in six rebounds and four blocks. King was excellent at the free throw line, connecting on 7-of-9 from the stripe.

Patterson finished with 29 for Brooklyn Center, and most of those came in the final minutes has the Centaurs were trying to come back. The Warriors were able to close it out at the line and get the 73-67 win.

The Warriors will take on Minnehaha Academy at 1pm at the Target Center Saturday and the game will be heard on 103.1 KFIL!
