The University of Minnesota's new football coach, P.J Fleck, was introduced to the world on an ESPN U feature show called "Being P.J Fleck". It premiered last night, and if you don't know much about P.J Fleck, I highly recommend checking it out.

I am a huge Gopher fan, pretty much since I could walk I was attracted to the Maroon and Gold colors, the same as my school's, and how these kids got to play on the same field as the Vikings and the Twins (at the time). I love it.

Now, the Gophers' football team was never really been competitive in my childhood, but I was still a fan. I have no clue why, but I remained loyal.

Now, with new coach P.J Fleck, there is an aroma of winning and building confidence that I have never seen in football. Professional, youth, college. It doesn't matter. This dude is flat out crazy.

It is not a bad crazy, either. He goes 100% all the time looking for the best in all of his players. Whether they are a three-year returning starter, or a walk-on freshman. He takes an interest in the entire team, building them into better players and, more importunately, better people.

ESPN U took a deep dive into P.J Fleck's life, and his rise to being the youngest head coach in the Power 5 conferences. You can see the trailer for the show below, and it is sure to get you in the football mood, thanks to Minnesota Gophers.

You have to check this out, and then tune in all season long for Golden Gopher Football coverage on our sister station Cool 104, KVGO - 104.3!
