Rochester, MN (KROKC-AM News) - Rochester police say they have not made any arrests yet for the death of a Rochester man last week.

41-year-old Robert Volgmann was found dead in his apartment last Thursday morning and on Friday evening, the police department announced it was investigating his death as a homicide. Officials earlier stated his death was considered suspicious because there were obvious signs of trauma to his body that suggested foul play might have been involved. Information about the cause and manner of Volgmann’s death has not been released.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen says investigators took the unusual step over the weekend of having a team from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension come to Rochester and perform another inspection of the apartment where the victim's body was discovered. Captain Moilanen says the Rochester Police Department has its own forensic team for processing crime scenes but decided to request the assistance of the BCA to make sure nothing was missed and the state agents concurred with the local team's findings.

Officials earlier indicated Volgman was found in a four-plex in northwest Rochester that is houses an unsupervised adult group home.
