I was surfing the internet, and since we are in the month of December, we are starting to see a ton of list for 'Top TV Shows of 2016', 'Top Country Songs of 2016' and 'Top Apps of 2016'

I decided to do a little more digging, and went back to see the Top Country Songs of 1986, which is 30 years ago. Here are some great tunes that you can hear on KFIL!

You can see the entire list here, but I found the Top 5 incredibly entertaining and fun to listen too, thanks to media.radcity.net for putting the list together!

Out of the Top 100 songs, George Strait had only four, which I was a little surprised by. His highest one being 'The Chair' at Number 8.

This hit was released on November 16, 1985 apart of the album Life's Highway. It hit Number 1 on Billboards Top Country Chart in March of 1986.

4. 'I'll Never Stop Loving You' - Gary Morris

This country tune was released in July of 1985, and hit Billboards Top Country Chat in November of 1985 off the album 'Anything Goes' I'm not sure how it made this list of 1986 songs, but it did. I guess anything goes on this list. Nonetheless it is a great song and deserves the recognition.

3. 'Never Be You' - Rosanne Cash

This song was released in September of 1985, and cracked Billboards Number 1 in January of 1986. Cash had two other hits on the list, too.

2. 'Have Mercy' - The Judds

'Have Mercy' hit the airwaves in September of 1985 and came off the album 'Rockin' with the Rhythm'. The Judds top the charts with his mega hit topped Billboards Country Chart in December of 1985 and January of 1986.

1. "Morning Desire' - Kenny Rogers

Is this one unanimous? It just might be. This is one of Rogers' many hits, and was released in October of 1985 apart of the album 'The Heart of the Matter'. It topped Number 1 on Billboards Charts in early January of 1986. You can see Rogers sing the song live at Farm Aid via Farm Aid's Youtube channel.
