Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – An Austin teenager who was involved in a Rochester home invasion earlier this year has been sentenced to probation and ordered to pay restitution.

19-year-old Nelson Soro and two other teenagers were arrested a few hours after a group of people with guns barged into an apartment at the Eastwood Ridge complex February 7th.

The resident of the apartment told investigators he had lined up a marijuana purchase with Soro. A woman who was at the apartment was hit over the head with a hard object.

Soro has been placed on probation for up to 10 years and is responsible for restitution of more than $2,000.

The cases against the other suspects are pending.
