The criminal complaint filed against 32-year-old Calvin Brown says the young girl’s mother reported her daughter and Brown were communicating over Snap Chat in late January and that Brown had asked the young girl to send him images of herself that were sexual in nature. During an interview at the Child Advocacy Center, the girl stated Brown had her sent a sexually explicit image of himself and asked her to send one back to him, according to the complaint.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant for Brown’s phone and found an exchange between Brown and the young girl on January 24 where Brown asked the girl to meet, the complaint says. In one message Brown told the girl he wanted to have sex with her, according to the complaint.

The complaint says Brown reported the snapchat to Austin police and accused the girl of making sexual comments while denying his alleged attempts at getting images of the girl. A witness confronted Brown about the messages and he reportedly told the witness he had sent the girl a sexually explicit image of himself. The complaint says Brown was known to the girl and her mother.
