There are dozens of buses trying to shuttle people to and from the clinic in downtown Rochester every day. They can cause minor backups from time to time and that can be a little frustrating - not big city traffic frustrating, just a little annoying. Still, even on the worst days your commute time only differs by a few minutes. So relax and remember the bus driver is just trying to do his or her job.

Did you know there is actually a state law that says a driver traveling in the right lane must yield to any transit bus attempting to enter that lane from a bus stop or shoulder? That means if you see a bus with its blinker on you need to stop to let it in. Failing to do so could lead to a ticket.  I'm pretty sure a lot of people aren't aware of this or choose to ignore it because I see people breaking this law nearly every day.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow of the Minnesota State Patrol says, "Bus drivers have a very important job in transporting people of all ages, and they are operating a very large vehicle, in high volume traffic areas with very little room to maneuver. We all have a responsibility to drive safely so all of us can make it to our destination safely."
