Washington (KROC AM News) - First District Congressman Jim Hagedorn recently made a trip to the US/Mexico border and says “the situation is worse than anything our country has experienced in over 20 years.”

The Republican Congressman who represents a large part of southern Minnesota joined members of the House Border Security Caucus last week on a trip to El Paso, Texas “to see first-hand the crisis unfolding at our Southern Border. “

Hagedorn says U.S. Customs and Border Protection is reporting nearly 180,000 southwestern border encounters were made in April. He says that compares to 17,000 in April 2020 - a 944% increase in illegal aliens crossing our border.
