Country Music History March 18

One of the greats was born this date in 1938.  Happy birthday to Charley Pride, born in Sledge, Mississippi.  Charley racked up more than 50 hit records on his road to the Country Music Hall of Fame including one of my favorites, "Kiss An Angel Good Morning".

Happy birthday also to Little Big Town member, Phillip Sweet, born in 1974 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

2000  "How Do You Like Me Now" by Toby Keith took the top slot on the Billboard country singles chart and remained there for five weeks.

2006  Kenny Chesney's "Living in Fast Forward" earned the #1 position on the Billboard singles chart and held that position for three weeks.
