1990  "Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart" by Randy Travis hit #1 on the Billboard country chart and remained #1 for four weeks.

Happy birthday to Keifer Thompson, born in 1971 in Miami, Oklahoma.  He and his wife formed Thompson Square, Academy of Country Music Vocal Duo of the Year in 2012 and 2013.

And in 1956, "Heartbreak Hotel" by Elvis Presley reached #1 on the country Billboard singles chart.
