Country Music History January 26

They're just "Good Ol' Boys"!  The "Dukes of Hazzard" debuted on TV January 26, 1979 starring John Schneider and Tom Wopat.  Waylon Jennings sang the theme song.

Once again country music stars shine at the Super Bowl.  In 2003 in San Diego, The Dixie Chicks sang the national anthem.  During the halftime show, Shania Twain belted out "Up" and "Man! I Feel Like A Woman".  Final score Buccaneers 48, Raiders 21.

On the same theme, in 1997 in New Orleans, Mary Chapin Carpenter joined BeauSoleil singing "Down At The Twist and Shout" during the pre-game show.  Final:  Green Bay 35, New England 21.
