Baseball History May 26

Well, it's back to the rat race after a nice long weekend.  Tune in to KFIL today at 6:30 as the Twins take on Boston.

1925   Ty Cob is the first major league player to obtain 1,000 career extra-base hits.  Detroit defeated the White Sox 8-1.

1993   Texas' Jose Canseco, playing right field, drifts back to catch a long drive hit by Carlos Martinez of Cleveland.  When Jose turned to look at the wall, the ball skimmed off his glove,  hit his head and bounced over the fence for a home run.
