In 1902, Bill Bradley, third baseman for Cleveland, is the first American League player to hit a home run in each of four consecutive games.  This record goes unchallenged until 1918 by Babe Ruth.

1940  The first night game is held at Sportsman's Park.  The Cleveland Indians defeat the St. Louis Browns 3-2 before a crowd of almost 25,000.
