Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released some information about an incident on Highway 52 that snarled traffic in northwest Rochester this afternoon.

Officials say a vehicle was headed south on the highway just north of the 55th Street interchange around 1:30 p.m. when the driver pulled to the right shoulder and a female got out and ran into traffic. She was then struck by a southbound semi-truck.

The State Patrol has not released any information about the woman or the extent of her injuries. The reasons for her actions are under investigation.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says all of the southbound lanes on Highway 52 have been reopened for regular traffic.
