Woman Hurt in Chain Reaction Accident In SW Minnesota Has Died
Redwood Falls, MN (KROC AM News) - A woman who was seriously hurt in a multi-vehicle traffic wreck in southwest Minnesota has died.
The State Patrol initially reported 92-year-old Mary Olson had suffered life-threatening injuries in the Wednesday crash. The accident report was updated Thursday to indicate she had died.
The Redwood Falls woman was one of five drivers involved in the wreck that occurred in a road construction zone near Redwood Falls.
The State Patrol says three vehicles were waiting to be flagged through the zone. An SUV approaching the stopped vehicles began slowing when it was rear-ended by a semi-truck, causing the chain-reaction accident.
A total of 11 people were hurt in the wreck.
