WATCH: This Is What Happens When Minnesota’s MLS Team Wins
Have you heard the one about karaoke breaking out at a soccer game? Well, that's not totally true, the karaoke broke out after Minnesota United won their first home game of the season against D.C. United 1-0 Sunday afternoon. To be honest it gave me chills hearing the entire stadium singing along to Oasis' Wonderwall. The black and blue smoke also adds to a somewhat haunting sounding video. Check it out below!
It was the 3rd home game for the Loons, the previous two ended in draws against NYCFC and the LA Galaxy. Scoring the lone goal in the game, with only 10 minutes left was United forward Angelo Rodriguez beating D.C. goalkeeper Bill Hamid.
I'm not a big soccer fan, truely I'd rather watch something else and catch the highlights, but this was pretty cool to see, especially the end of the game with the crowd singing along.
Minnesota United’s next game is Saturday, May 4 against the visiting Seattle Sounders at Allianz Field. That game kicks off 7:00 p.m.
