The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed two positive cases of Coronavirus in Fillmore County.

In a statement released by the Fillmore County Public Health, the two cases include one Fillmore County resident in their 20s and another one in their 60s, who were likely exposed through contact from travel outside of the United State. Fillmore County Public Health Director of Nursing, Jessica Erickson confirmed that the patients are in isolation at home and recovering.

Fillmore County Public Health is working with MDH and health care partners to address the needs of the patients and provide guidance to others who may have had contact with them.

In the latest information from the State Health Department, there are now 115 confirmed cases in Minnesota out of 3,856 tests completed.

Fillmore County Public Health also is stressing the importance of continuing to do things that can limit the spread of the coronavirus, including:

• Stay home and away from others if you are sick
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or tissue
• Wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds with soap and water
• Avoid touching your face.
