Two Men Caught Selling Drugs in Byron Home While Owner Was Away
Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - Two men were arrested for selling drugs in Byron over the weekend - in a house whose owner had gone on vacation.
A neighbor noticed several people coming and going at the home in the 10 block of 9th St NW Sunday. The neighbor became suspicious and contacted the homeowner Sunday night, knowing she was away. She told the neighbor she had not given anyone permission to be there. The neighbor called 911 and deputies went to the home and found two men inside.
They also found evidence of drug dealing and seized more than 14 grams of cocaine, 30 ½ grams of marijuana and $800 in cash.
Arrested on drug and burglary charges were 21-year-old Lucas McNiff of Mantorville and 21-year-old Matthew Sorensen of North Mankato. They told the deputies the homeowner’s son had given them permission to be there but he denied it.
