According to Business Insider, the ugliest building in Minnesota isn't in Rochester, Austin, Winona, Byron, Duluth or Funkley, Minnesota. It's in Minneapolis. Right there on the U of M campus, the ugliest building in Minnesota is filled with art. It's also kind of a work of art itself.

The ugliest building in Minnesota is the Frederick R Weisman Art Museum. Huh? That's what I said. Then I saw a picture. OH! The Baked Potato Building! I had no idea what it's real name was. Here, take a look...you'll know it in a second.

According to Wikipedia...

The Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum is an art museum located on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. A teaching museum for the university since 1934, the museum is named for Frederick R. Weisman, and was designed by Frank Gehry. Often called a "modern art museum," the 25,000+ image collection has large collections of Marsden Hartley, Alfred Maurer, Charles Biederman, Native American Mimbres pottery, and traditional Korean furniture.

The shot from above shows you it's not all aluminum. It's a nice mixture of brick and shiny.

Is it an ugly building? Maybe, but I kinda like it. Way more than Rochester's Kemps factory. Nothing wrong with the factory, really, it's just not pretty to look at.

What do you think is the ugliest building in Rochester?
