Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - A teenage boy was injured early Sunday when his car collided with a deer on I-90.

The State Patrol says the 17-year-old motorist was headed west on the freeway shortly after 1 am when he hit the deer in a collision that sent the animal flying over the windshield. The crash occurred just east of Austin near the Highway 56 interchange.

The name of the teenager has not been released. He was transported to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Austin with unknown injuries.
