22-year-old Elijah Michael McCumber was reported missing over the Memorial Day Weekend. He was last seen shortly before 7:30 Saturday on Echo Valley Dr., which is a dead-end road in southeastern Winona County.

Authorities announced that 22-year-old Elijah Michael McCumber was missing on Saturday. He was last seen shortly before 7:30 Friday.

The Rushford man entered a guilty plea in the case in March.

Boaters discovered the body of a newborn floating in the Mississippi River about seven miles south of Winona in September of 2011.

The remains were located at Lock and Dam 6, which is about 9 miles downriver from Winona and was the southern end of the area searched on April 4.

The Winona County Sheriff's Office says the recovery mission was difficult due to the location.

The 72-year-old missing woman hasn't been seen since mid-March.

The victim told investigators that he had been her school bus driver since she was about 5 years old.

Long-time Winona County Sheriff Ron Ganrude announced last month that he will not seek reelection this Fall.

Another southeastern Minnesota County will have a new Sheriff next year.
