Do you want to be able to get on a plane when it's freezing in Rochester, and all over Southeastern Minnesota, and get off the plane where it's warm and sunny? Then head to RST because Sun Country is starting non-stop flights to two warm-weather destinations.
These Are The First Two Sun Country Flights EVER From RST!
On Thursday, February 3, Sun Country begins operation with its first flight from Rochester International Airport to Fort Myers, Florida and Friday is the first non-stop from RST to Phoenix. Never before has Sun Country flown out of Rochester.
Executive Director John Reed said in a press release,
“Today is a great day to celebrate at RST and welcome our new partner Sun Country Airlines to our region. Leisure travel continues to lead the way for efforts to return to travel, and we are thrilled that Sun Country has added travel options for our customers to warm and sunny vacation destinations. We look forward to a successful partnership."
According to the airline...
- The Sun Country flights between RST and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to Fort Myers will run twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
- Service from RST to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) operates twice weekly Mondays and Fridays.
The routes will use a Boeing 737-800, which holds 186 passengers with two classes. Check out tickets here.
