Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson says there is nothing new to report on the discovery of a man’s body in the middle of a road near Gamehaven Park Tuesday.

Torgerson released this statement Wednesday morning:

While our Investigators and others have worked very hard overnight we are still unable to positively identify the adult male who was found deceased yesterday in the 2300 block of 45th St. SE in Marion Township. We will not be able to provide additional information at the 8:30 AM briefing as we had hoped.

Torgerson has described the death as “suspicious.”

A passing motorist found the body around 3:45 AM and called 911. Investigators were at the scene most of the day Tuesday. The road has since reopened.

An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday that may help identify the body and determine the cause of death.
