Stewartville Woman Blows .22 After Rochester Traffic Crash
Rochester,MN (KROC AM News) - A Stewartville woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI in front of her two children Friday.
Rochester police say 47-year-old Jeannie Nelson rear-ended a stopped vehicle at the intersection of 12th St and Marion Road SE around noon. She talked briefly to the other driver but drove away when he said he was calling police.
The man followed Nelson to RCTC where she went inside the field house for a dance recital. He then called police.
An officer was waiting when Nelson came out and she was arrested after a breath test indicated a blood/alcohol concentration of .22.
She told the officer she had been “drinking the night before.” A police spokesman says she is a nurse for the Stewartville school district.
