New Prague, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Scott County Sheriff's Office is indicating that alcohol may have contributed to a deadly and fiery single-vehicle crash early today.

Deputies responded to a report of a crash around 12:50 AM along a rural road east of Cedar Lake near New Prague. A news release says they found a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames and the woman near the vehicle.

The preliminary investigation says the pickup was headed west on the rural road when the driver missed a turn in the vehicle crashed into a tree line and started on fire. The driver, 70-year-old Dennis Ensfield off New Prague, was found in the driver's seat and was pronounced dead at the scene.

This passenger, who was the woman found outside the pickup, was identified as 67-year-old Deborah Henry of New Prague, was taken to a hospital in Shakopee to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
