Southeast Minnesota Town Nominated as ‘Best Minnesota Town’
According to bestmntown.com the winning town will have a party thrown in it's honor, and will be showcased in a multi-page editorial media campaign valued at over $50,000.
Austin, population 24,718, has been selected as a finalist in Minnesota Monthly's "Best Minnesota Town" contest. Did you know that the National Association of Realtors recently named Austin one of the "Top 10 Affordable Small Towns Where You'd Actually Want to Live" or that Austin was named one of the best small cities in America?
Outsiders know about Hormel and the Spam Museum. However, many don't know about the incredible work done at the Hormel Institute. It's a leading cancer research operated by the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic. Austin also has a growing arts and entertainment scene. The Frank W. Bridges Theatre, Matchbox Children's Theatre and Summerset Theatre present shows year round.
The town has a lot to offer but my favorite is simply the residents. We have a ton of amazing listeners there and every time we visit they welcome us with open arms!
