Somerset Township, MN (KROC AM News) - A driver fell asleep on I-35 and caused a crash that flipped his own car on its side and left two people injured Sunday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 31-year-old Clarence Jones of West Fargo, North Dakota was traveling northbound on I-35 north of Ellendale, Minnesota when he fell asleep around 5:30 p.m. I-35 was backed up due to construction, and the car traveling in front of Jones was almost fully stopped when Jones woke up and tried to avoid the crash. He rear ended the Honda Odyssey, which caused his own car to flip on its side. Jones was not injured.

The two passengers injured in the Honda, 33-year-old Alyssa Mcdonald of Des Monies, Iowa and 37-year-old Jenna Wilson, were taken to Owatonna Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
