Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Southeast Minnesota and NE Iowa
High winds and severe thunderstorms are expected to roll through Southeast Minnesota and Northeast Iowa.
The National Weather Service issued a warning until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, affecting Mower, Fillmore, Olmsted, Dodge, Houston and Winona counties in Southeast Minnesota.
The severe thunderstorm warning from the National Weather Service in La Crosse, with the communities of Harmony, Canton, and Mabel getting hit with the storm just after Noon, with wind guest reaching 70 mph.
The line of storms and damaging winds are expected to come through the area until 2 p.m. with wind gusts reaching 60 to 65 mph, with brief downpours throughout the afternoon.
We reported earlier today that we could expect storms throughout the day today, with a chance of serve weather. Damaging winds could roll through the area, and affect many of our communities through the early afternoon.
