The Rushford-Peterson Trojans fell to the Minneapolis North Polars 30-14 in the Class A State Title game at U.S Bank Stadium.

The Trojans started the game out out, when Noah Carlson took his second carry of the day 74 yards for a touchdown, giving the Trojans an early 7-0 lead.

The Polars didn't let that lead last long when Azerick Rodgers threw a tochdown pass to Tayler Johnson, and then Johnson recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown on the next possession to take a 16-7 lead.

The Trojans made it a two-point game before the half when Landon Skalet connected with Carlson for an 11-yard touchdown.

The Polars were able to control the second half, as they held the ball for a majority of the second half, and put two scores into the end zone. The Trojans, on the other hand, were unable to to any points on the board.

Azerick Rodgers finished the game 10-of-13 for 115 yards and two touchdowns,. along with 48 yards on the ground.

Carlson finished with 27 carries for 161 yards and a touchdown, along with a receiving touchdown to lead the Trojans.

The Trojans finished their season 12-2, and runner up in Class A State Tournament!
