Rochester Woman Caught With Suspected Heroin – In Jail
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman was caught trying to get high in the Olmsted County jail.
A detention deputy making a routine check on inmates Thursday evening made the discovery.
A spokesman says 25-year-old Tia Arleth was just getting ready to give herself an injection of suspected heroin when the deputy checked on her. She had apparently smuggled the needle in by hiding it in a lip balm container. The heroin apparently came from a hidden balloon that was found in her cell.
Arleth is expected to face drug and other charges.
