One Injured In Highway 44 Wreck In Fillmore County
Mabel, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 44 in Fillmore County Thursday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a Honda CRV, driven by 54-year-old Angela Burmester of Mabel, and a Kenworth semi-truck were traveling eastbound on Highway 44 just west of Mabel when the two vehicles collided just after 10:30 a.m.
The semi-truck was driven by 37-year-old Robert Fitler of New Vienna, Iowa. He and the passenger were not injured in the wreck. Burmester was transported to Decorah Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This crash caused both lanes of Highway 44 to be closed for several hours during the clean-up, and while traffic was detoured.
