Rochester Police: ‘Be Careful When Warming Up Your Car’
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Kasson woman lost her car to a thief while in Rochester over the weekend.
The vehicle was stolen late Friday night while the 19-year-old was visiting at Oak Terrace Estates mobile home park.
She told police she started the car to warm it up just before midnight and went back inside the residence. She heard squealing tires a few minutes later and then discovered her car was missing.
She described her car as a 2008 Hyundai Azera model.
Police say this should serve as an advisory about the dangers of leaving a vehicle unattended while the engine is running.
