Rochester Car Thief Caught, Vehicle Still Missing
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man accused of with stealing a car in Rochester is in custody but at last report, the vehicle still had not been found.
A 19-year-old employee of the 2nd St SW McDonald’s restaurant reported her car had been stolen around 7:00 PM Friday. She told officers she was warming the vehicle before heading home and came out to find it missing.
Police looked at the store’s surveillance camera system and not only saw the thief get into the vehicle but they recognized him as 31-year-old Mark Harman. He was located at the America’s Best Inn in Stewartville late Sunday night and arrested but there was no sign of the stolen vehicle. It’s a tan 2005 Jeep Liberty model.
