Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Commuters from areas south of Rochester are being advised to expect lane closures and delays if they travel on Highway 52 between the I-90 interchange and South Broadway in Rochester.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews are scheduled to begin work Monday on a resurfacing project. Officials say some short-term ramp detours will also occur while a smoother and safer road surface applied on the 5.8 mile stretch of divided four-lane highway and delays are likely during peak travel times.

The $6.6 million project is scheduled to be completed in the late fall.
