Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rain the final two days of the month made it one of the wettest Aprils on record for the city of Rochester.

Rochester received an inch of rain Friday and another inch Saturday. That put the April precipitation total at 6.83 inches, which is the third wettest for the city on record.

That is 3 ½ inches above normal and is 6 inches more than the total from April last year. The year-to-date precipitation total has risen to over 10 inches, which is 3 inches above normal.

Periods Of Rain This Week In The Rochester Area

The National Weather Service is forecasting some scattered showers today before a break from the rain tonight. Another system of rain is expected to hit the area Monday night into Tuesday.

Temperatures will reach into the low 50s on Monday before a mid-week warmup takes temps nearing 60 by Wednesday with a brief break from the rain.
