Marshall, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person has died and two more are seriously hurt after a crash in southwest Minnesota Friday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol's report indicated that one of the drivers had alcohol in his system at the time of the wreck.

The incident occurred just north of Marshall around 8:15 p.m. A pickup truck was traveling north on Highway 23 while an SUV was traveling south on the highway when the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the SUV was killed in the crash. He was identified as 29-year-old Shawn Lemburg of Walnut Grove. A passenger in the SUV was transported to a hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with life-threatening injuries. He was identified as 32-year-old Joshua Tolley of Walnut Grove.

A passenger in the truck was also transported to a hospital in Sioux Falls with life-threatening injuries. He was identified as 30-year-old Nay Moo of Springdale, Washington.

 

The driver of the truck was identified as 43-year-old Kaw La of Marshall. The state patrol report indicates that alcohol was in La's system at the time of the crash. He was transported to the hospital in Marshall with non-life-threatening injuries.
